Preferred Majors for this Course: General Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, Finance, E-sports, Psychology Turn on an EPL match or log in to a brutal Alpine stage of the Tour de France. As the red cards are shown and the yellow jersey screams past, it's obvious to ask: What does winning really look like today in the brutally competitive world of global sports today? And who are the trainers, dietitians, managers, publicists and analysts who preside over the practical and psychological terrain on which elite athletes assemble to do their jobs as competitors? In this course, be ready to explore the dynamic and rapid-fire world of global sports. From Tottenham Hotspur FC in London to the French Open in Paris, you will dive into learning the global business of sport from incredible leaders who work every day to insure that their organizations field heroes and champions. Our class will also focus on questions of sports psychology, as we interrogate the team and personal protocols and practices that are the foundations of performance greatness. (All Catalyst courses meet for 54 hours of contact, so if your university runs its courses on a 4 hour format instead of a three hour one this course may be able to count for 4 hours. You should consult with your advisor.)
