More than parties. More than beaches. More than eight days you'll barely remember.

What if eight days in Europe changed the way you see the world?

Make Paris and Amsterdam your home for four days each, as you take an interdisciplinary course on the history, art, literature, and psychology of life and death in Europe during World War Two. Explore two of Europe's most fascinating cities, challenge what you think you know, and discover ideas, people, and places that stay with you long after you return. With The Catalyst, you'll earn 4 college credits and experience Europe as more than a tourist. Your learning begins online before you leave and continues after you return, combining flexible, asynchronous coursework with eight unforgettable days on the ground.

Spring Break Catalyst is not just time away from college.

It's a way to feel how college can open up your future.

Paris

No city can teach you more about resilience and beauty than Paris. And no city can take you deeper into the history of art, literature, psychology, and history in modern times than Paris.  Brutally occupied by the Nazis from 1940 until 1944, Paris is a rare classroom into what life was like for a whole city when hope was utterly gone.

Amsterdam

Four days here can never be enough. But with classrooms like the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, and the Van Gogh Museum. you will learn more about humanity's survival through dark times than months might teach you elsewhere. Another city that was bombed and occupied for four years, Amsterdam is a key to understanding the building blocks of resilience and love even when pushed beyond the capacity to cope.
